Timber Legality Proof
Timber Legality Proof
Dcode is a technology that provides a method for creating and securing evidence of source legality.
The geolocation dataset provides a reference linked to the forest plot.
By capturing data at the time of logging, Dcode provides an uncounterfeitable method of authenticating individual logs.

Proof Through Geolocalisation
Proof Through Geolocalisation
The creation of ‘First Mile’ data is key to tracking each delivery, from the forest to all subsequent wood transformation stages, creating a new product based on the HS code and confirming provenance, linked to the geolocation of the forest plot and the time of felling.
Supply Chain
Supply Chain
‘First-mile’ data collection is crucial to maintaining transparency in the supply chain and verifying the geolocation of timber sources.
Provenance information can be fed back to the sawmill and linked to specific consignments, bulk packs and even individual boards.
Once the geolocalisation data is linked, the information flow is complete, providing documented chain of custody control in the supply chain.

Stakeholders can then use this data to trace down to the final wood product.
This system enables easier handling of downstream audits and automation of reporting processes.

Digital Delivery Note (DDN)
Digital Delivery Note (DDN)
The transaction specification of the DDN process is supported by the acquisition of a data set in the form of an image of the entire load at shipment, the Dcode being applied at least once on one element in the load, truck, container, etc., and assigned for verification and acceptance of the delivery at receipt.
The DDN is the primary method of authenticating the provenance of the shipment (‘First Mile’).

Single Dcode marking of logs enables efficient inventory management, segregation by demand and the ability to process a set of provenance data for each transaction.
Stakeholders involved in supply chains have a vested interest in a highly reliable and verifiable flow of information linked to traded goods, providing authentication provenance controls on-demand.

The identification and authentication of the provenance of a single log enables the segregation of stock by supplier, including geolocation and date of sourcing, which has a positive impact on stock rotation time and stock management, as also on sales.
In the case of a non-conforming shipment, it's required to segregate the disputed transaction, on full product specification for auditing, by the necessary due diligence processes.

Proof Of Provenance Data At Board Level
Proof Of Provenance Data At Board Level
At the sawmill, the transaction specification of the digital proof of a digital delivery note is verified at the sawmill gate. In the case every timber log is marked by applying a Dcode, the check is fully automated.
During the production, geolocation data is assigned to each production batch, package, or even individual board, ensuring authentication.
This process is robust and capable of handling complex scenarios even where a single delivery may involve multiple origins.
